EXTREMELY URGENT!
Fourth Call to Action
For FDA Proposed Regulations
SUBMIT YOUR COMMENT

On Thursday, May 8th, CASAA released the Overview of its Action Plan Regarding Proposed FDA Regulations.

As noted in CASAA’s Action plan, this is not a battle that is going to be won based solely on comments to the proposed regulations. Accordingly, we are attacking this on several different fronts. Before the draft regulations were published, we had envisioned a single Call to Action with several suggested actions. However, upon seeing the details, we decided the best strategy to effect positive change is to prepare a comprehensive Action Plan which consists of several Calls to Action issued at staggered dates to maximize effectiveness, and extending beyond comments to the FDA docket.

  • On May 11, 2014, CASAA released the  first of several Calls to Action anticipated in CASAA’s Action Plan.
  • On May 21st, 2014, CASAA released the secondCall to Action.
  • On June 13, 2014,  CASAA released the third Call to Action.
  • On July 17, 2014, CASAA released the first Call to Prepare.
  • On July 23, 2014, CASAA released the secondCall to Prepare.

Today, we issued the

FOURTH CALL TO ACTION

in

CASAA’s Action Plan

providing instructions on submitting your comment.

The Fourth Call to Action contains instructions on (1) assembling the content you prepared pursuant to the first and second Calls to Prepare and (2) submitting your comment to the FDA.

Note that there will be two versions. The Fourth Call to Action linked below is for people who understand what is going on and are willing to spend some time to be maximally effective. But we recognize that not all consumers are even aware of the FDA’s proposed regulations and how those regulations will impact them.

In an effort to reach as many consumers as possible, we will be issuing a streamlined Call to Action in the next day or two which will be designed for vendors to forward to customers. The streamlined Call to Action will facilitate comments from those consumers who might not otherwise know about the proposed regulations or are not willing to put in the effort described here. Of course, we encourage anyone who can to complete the version described here rather than using the streamlined version.

Please see the Fourth Call to Action for details.

Forward, repost, and share . . . and explain to others why this is so important.

New York Seeking to Ban Flavored E-Liquid!!

Please follow this link and find out how You can help cattle this proposed ban New York officials are seeking to pass:

CASAA and NYC vapers had previously been led to believe that the sponsors of these proposed ordinances were likely to put forward amendments exempting e-cigarettes from NYC’s new definition of “tobacco product…”

The Panda Evolve Kit is now up!

California has a new bill that will attempt to ban e-cigs.  They are another of many states that are attempting to take action against e-cigs.  If passed they will label e-cigs as “is a hazard to the health of the general public” and regulate it as such.

You can take part in blocking this.  Just go to CASAA (The Consumer Advocates for Smoke-free alternatives Associations) to find out how you can join in and help prevent this from happening.

But not totally Healthy.  This article exams the results of a scientific study by an interdependent source (Not funded by e-cig companies of cigarette companies) and shows that E-cigs are definitely safer that regular cigarettes… but not safer than not doing either.

Read the article for your self Here.

Utah House shoots down a proposed tax hike for E-Cigs.  In a vote of 29 – 44, Utah’s House becomes yet another battleground hard fought and won for the e-cig community and vendors.  Putting a face to the fear the e-cig community is dreading if the FDA imposes regulation on E-cigs, this battle was closely watch by all involved.  Largely in part to the large e-cig community and CASAA I believe this happened.

Hopefully the e-cig community will continue to pull together and battle these laws as they come forward.  This, by no long shot is the end but still a great victory.

Read the story here int he Salt Lake Tribune.

If you enjoy e-cigs, this may effect you.  Visit CASAA (http://blog.casaa.org/2013/03/urgent-utah-bill-to-tax-e-cigarettes.html) and join in to voice your opinion to help stop this tax hike that may  remove e-cigs from smokers hands.  This may be you or your friends effect next.  Let’s let them know what e-cigs mean to us.

Go to CASAA (http://blog.casaa.org/2013/03/urgent-utah-bill-to-tax-e-cigarettes.html) and let your voice be heard.

Now when you try to go to TheSafeCig.com, you are directed to Seminole Ecig. Who are they? I’m not sure. I’m still researching. Not sure if this is the rebranded version of SafeCig or a partner company. A few people believe they had to shut down due to pending legal issues (I personally believe if this was true, news would have leaked ahead of the site going down).

So, once again I am not sure what happened. But, there is another company offering abandoned SafeCig users a helping hand. EverSmoke is offering Free Kit (Yep, free) to all Ex SafeCig users to tide them over (I’m sure it’s more to get them to love their brand, which makes business since for them and… Free is free).
